If I close UC will I lose PIP?

My savings will go over £16,000 due to a lump sum court settlement soon. I am worried that when I inform UC, they will also close my PIP payment as well?

Hi,
PIP is not means tested, if your UC ends because of financial reasons, it will not affect PIP at all.
Are you sure your court settlement doesn't come under disregarded capital though? Do you mind saying what it's for?
This is the list of disregards if you would like to check for yourself - ADM Chapter H2: Capital Disregards
