I've recently had some good news regarding my council tax. I applied for an SMI at the beginning of the month and i recently had an email to say i was getting a refund. The money has been paid to me, but the remaining balance has been wiped from my account, so i don't have to pay anymore.

I've received a bill in the post today, with confirmation i have been awarded a Class U.

After months of grief and worry with court summons, etc, i feels like a weight has been lifted.

    TRehey let me pay off the bill in installments of £145 a month, but i was also checking the account for any messages to see if i was getting summons and it was obsessive as well.

    Receiving the Class U has put my mind at ease and saved me some money as well.
