    Rest in Peace Jackie the Eagle! She sounds like a magnificent creature.

    Do you ever see any types of eagles around by you @ChrisR777, or do they stay pretty remote out in the Highlands? Biggest birds we get around here are Red Kites. Beautiful to watch though!

    You can usually close the little box that asks you for money on The Guardian @SheffieldMan1976. There's often a little arrow or cross somewhere to close it.

    I have observed golden eagles soaring on the thermals, usually at great height. This was a long time ago, when i used to walk in the Cairngorrms. I used to keep my binoculars handy, they are breathtakingly beautiful.

    That must have been incredible to watch @ChrisR777! I don't think I've ever seen an eagle in the wild but I'd love to some day.

    Do you still keep an eye out for other birds on your outings with Gus?

    Red kites, common buzzards, grey herons, both tawny and long eared owls; these i can see most nights when I go out with Gus. We even have a colony of puffins less than 10 miles up the coast.

    My maternal grandfather spoke of eagles here on the coast of Angus, but show me anywhere that the flora and fauna is as abundant as 100 years ago. Eight billion people comes at a price.

    Sounds amazing @ChrisR777! I was up near the Scottish border on holiday last year and saw some gorgeous wildlife, but just missed the Puffin season. They said the last ones flew off about 3 days before we arrived. I was gutted! Lovely little birds.

    It's a real shame how much impact human beings have on these kinds of creatures.
