Hello
I wish a happy & healthy new year to you all.
Does anyone know of/ or had experience of a reputable river cruise company who caters for people with mobility problems.
My husband does not want to go on an ocean cruise but would go on a river cruise. I can’t find any company who specialises in cruises for the disabled. Perhaps someone out there can help.
Many thanks
Best wishes

Hi @christinawatson
i have been on a short cruise along the canal in Chichester, West Sussex once. It had seating, although possibly more awkward to get on and off tge actual barge.
i have also heard of cruises along the Thames ie through London of varying lengths but not tried them.
Don’t know of any accessible cruises abroad either down rivers or cruises although actor Timothy West and wife Prunella Scales seem to get around on barges not to badly on their tv series. -
Hello Neil
Thank you for sharing your experience & suggestions.
I agree Timothy & Prunella manage very well!! A camera crew would be handy to have in case of unplanned incidentals. -
Hi @christinawatson
Yes a camera crew do make it look easy. Best of luck finding a cruise that suits.
