There may not be a shower available @SwiftFox. Did they say when they will be free to help you @SheffieldMan1976?

Swollen ankles and weeping liquid from one and gp. Says it's the hot weather!

Fed up to the back teeth, wish I knew when I was last pain free, exhausted, not always be on edge, not get angry when someone is playing music outside of the window, or always feeling like I have failed and let people down. I am 43 but feel more like 93, just sick and tired of having to fight and keep having obstacles chucked in my way.I always just want to close the blinds, keep the door locked, turn the phone off and want to give up trying at all. I have no quality of life, so what is the point…..

Hi @Rag_793. Sounds like a heavy place you're in. Maybe it's healthy to feel unhealthy in unhealthy situations. Maybe it's okay to fall apart in unhealthy situations. Maybe it's healthy to make space for difficult feelings and thoughts, and to give them a voice, to make them part of your reality.

Feelings and thoughts can change so quickly. Our circumstances can too. Life is often like an insane rollercoaster ride with those changes. Sometimes it can be so tempting to jump off the rollercoaster. Or alternatively rest from the ride. Slow it down and rest. Let the thoughts simmer down and the emotions. Breathe. Close your eyes. Let the fire out your nostrils and ears and mouth. Have you got some earbuds or a headset? I love listening to this track of bilateral music to slow me down (which requires a headset or earbuds). I'm going to listen to it now to send you gentle vibes. Maybe you'd like to listen to it too?

    ❤️

My grumble today is that I love a cold beer on a hot day, but half an hour later the alcohol in the beer makes me sweat buckets. So it's a no-win situation. 😫 🥵

To all of you struggling out there....

I finally managed to get a bit of independence by buying a power chair that I can use on the bus and start going to the pool to get some exercise and have some time when nothing hurts then I find out that I have a heart condition and the pressure from the water is worsening my breathing:(

How do you find getting on and off a bus? I have only used the train so far. I don't like the idea of trying to remain in my chair, as the bus goes around corners.

Did you not manage to get your spare hearing aids from you parents at the weekend? Did you say you were visiting them?

I've been dropping and breaking things in the heat, Mary..

I hope the fires are out now and you get rain soon! The next and potentially bigger crisis will be flooding.

That is a shame. Did the hospital say when the repairs would be done?

Are there any stronger hearing aids available on the NHS that would be better for you?

I got so caught up doom scrolling on my phone and tablet last night that I missed all medications. Fare to say I am beyond angry, crusted, ashamed and kicking myself big time. Between going to bed on Tuesday and this morning when I crawled into bed at six I was running on three and a half hours sleep.

I'm going to be greedy and have two grumbles today!

    1. My bus was carrying Wednesday's Metro and I didn't notice until I was home. I had parked my bike, walked to a bus stop and caught a bus back just to pick one up.
    2. Delivery of replacement brush heads for my sonic toothbrush came today in a massive box stuffed with paper. The slimline box holding them could have fitted through my letterbox several times over. I also got 3 A4 copies of my invoice. Such waste.

Edit: it's a shame that Lidl can't find any room in its warehouses for replacement products like these. The sonic toothbrush was an absolute bargain and has lasted longer than a branded one but this delivery from overseas is shocking and I will be telling them!

Has today been better for you? My brain doesn't work if I miss my meds and if I'm busy, it can take a while to notice. It's horrible at the time.
