in Universal Credit (UC)

Helo everyone i am on universal credit and given transitional protection on year 2023 i am also on ADB as i am severley disabled but finding it very difficult to pay my council tax as i reside in scotland everythings getting too expensive now and its hard to make ends meet, the question is IF I CAN NOT PAY MY COUNCIL TAX EVERY MONTH WILL THIS AFFECT MY TRANSIOTIONAL PROTECT WHEN MY LOCAL COUNCIL DECIDED TO TAKE DEDUCTIONS DIRECTLY ? FROM MY UNIVERSAL CREDIT IF YOU GET MY MEANING ? ! could you please enlighten me to this as i think my local council take something directly like 8.00 per week if you can understand this as i dont want to lose my transitional protection any help would be greatly apprectiated thankyou ?

    Transitional Protection would only reduce if you became entitled to an increased amount of UC.

    So if your local council start deductions directly for Council Tax, this shouldn't impact your TP because your Universal Credit award isn't increasing.
