Weird day

So a man who lives opposite me who ive only spoken to once to say hello to has been knocking on my door recently (.caught on my ring doorbell).He doesn't use the bell but just knocks on the door.Anyway today I decided to answer to see exactly what on earth he could want.THIS is how the conversation went ME:"Hello?. HIM "Hi how are you? Long time no see,I am going to my work in the bank (Very doubtful).how many rooms do you have??.ME:I don't know ive never counted. Then he seemed quite surprised by my answer and casually walked away.Is this weird? Or is this weird?

    Hi @Jane315STARX, that does seem a little strange and I can see why it may make you feel uneasy. Do you think you'd answer to him again?

    Not exactly the same thing but still weird. Was in Asda with my nephew two months ago,now I rarely go out because of my disabilities but this was one of those rare days I did, Girl touting for some gas supplier pounces on me, I know you she says, I said no,sorry you don't, oh I do ! again she said ,She asked do you live in ------- I said nowhere near there. Then she said did i ever come to your door? (How freaking odd that she'd even rem me if she did,or me her) again i said def not,I rarely get callers and if its not my immediate family they don't get in,anyway they've keys so no need for me to go to door, she stood looking at me like I'd told her go flip off. She was years and years younger than me so not an old school friend or anything.

    Still not convinced,there was no convinced her tbh, 🙄 I honestly get paranoid at that kind of thing and I wasn't even feeling the best that day and it really threw me. People are weird. Most definitely strange.

    @Carl_Scope no im not going to answer the door to him again.If I see him outside Opposite where I live and he says hello from a distance ill be polite.But I feel quite uneasy.In life the weirdest things seem to happen to me.I have in my younger years got myself in stupid situations but im wiser now to what could be odd or bad intentions and I cant see anything not odd about this entire situation.

    @Doglover2 I think she was on a hard sales drive by the sounds of it.There are so many fake people out there its unbelievable.This is why its so hard to trust anyone.But Its worse when someone actually comes to your home and knows where you live.Having said that it could be perfectly innocent

    @Jane315STARX She never once mentioned anything about the gas company, my nephew was in front of me and a lady before him she never made a move towards them,that's why I found it odd.she practically pounced on me. Upon leaving the store i noticed her stood against the wall ,people passing and she ignored them. I found it strange asking where I lived. How was it even relevant if she'd been all over the city ,door to door, there's no way she could have remembered me. Its was all so false. Esp as she didn't try to coerse me into changing gas company. Even my adult nephew said what the heck was that nonsense all about. Fact she was trying to get out of me where I lived was a tad freaky. She'd no chance of me telling her.

    @SheffieldMan1976 I looked back at her as I went through the door of the store and she had a totally perplexed face on her, like I was lying and she was right. You've no idea what i actually wanted to say to her.. but off is the second word. I was feeling bad ,sweat was pouring off me even though it wasn't a really hot day,its part of one of my conditions ,I wanted to get in to the store and get home.No harm to her but I could have screamed WHY ME!!

    Its very bizarre the world we live in now.I dont even like.answering my phone now from withheld numbers incase its a scammer but I have to incase its the hospital or even worse Universal credit

    @Jane315STARX I hear you.

    I'm the same i hate scam calls, I get so many. I got a few times "re the accident you had in your car" call. Oh really,how funny,I've never drove in my life,I'm not allowed to ,one of my heart conditions makes me black out. So no license allowed.🙄 Its nearly as bad as the postie arriving ,my heart almost stops. Its no way to live really.
