been offered Methotrexate for RA, PA and OA
Hello and good morning
I have just been offered Methotrexate for RA, PA and OA. I am looking to find out more so I can do some 'sums' and work out what is looming up for the journey ahead!

Hi @PhilCSwift and a warm welcome to the community from me!
I haven't got experience in taking this medication myself but hopefully some of our members who do will be see this post and share their experience with the medication.
How are you feeling about the medication at the moment?
Lovely to have you hear and I hope you enjoy your time on the community😊0 -
@PhilCSwift Methotrexate is usually the 1st drug tried with RA. I've been on it 9 years and it has given me my life back. All drugs have side effects but you aren't forced to carry on with one that doesn't work.
It can be quite a long lonely journey in the beginning but you have to try various drugs till you find what suits you.
Speak to your rheumatology nurses if you are not happy, thats what they're there for. As for pain management speak to your GP.
Oh and don't believe everything you read, its different for everyone
