Most of the popular dating websites are scams IMO, so can anyone recommend a way for a bloke my age to become friends (or more) with a human female around mid to late 40s/early to mid 50s?

You do the best thing to meet and talk to women ( human female is cold and impersonal), all those comic cons, taekwondo sessions, karaoke at The George etc.
