Have a grumble.

My grumble is at the moment, should we be worried about possible physical attacks on bases in the uk by Russia alongside the factories that not only supply our own armed forces but are involved in supplying arms and blue prints to Ukraine. I live in Derby and we have multiple Rolls Royce plants in the city, it is certainly unnerving and scary. I was born during the Cold War and we are now in a very different Cold War again. Being told by the government to stock up on provisions is truly making me even more wary. A massive Rolls Royce plant is but a stones throw from where I live. We donโ€™t have an answer to any physical attacks as our armed forces are limited in every aspect. Russia could have sleeper cells in the country, target critical under sea cables, alongside cyber attacks on hospitals and other critical infrastructure. We have poked the bear no matter how weak by letting Ukraine have blue prints for Storm Shadow missiles alongside building and producing long range drones. We are closer to ww3 than ever beforeโ€ฆ..

Have you been watching Newsnight this week? It is unnerving. Are you worried enough to move away?

To be honest I stay clear of the news per se, but when I log into my yahoo mail online it shows up with the news. With what has been going on in Ukraine since 2022, I keep an eye on things. I wonโ€™t move away from where I live, been here since 2024 and it would undo a lot of the work I have done since then on my mental health.

if I miss my Antidepressants I notice in a big way, my insomnia kicks in, I am jumpy, on edge, fidgeting all the time, angry, my eyes start streaming, if I am sat on the bed I end up under the covers then throw them off and then back on again. I struggle to concentrate, with tv I cycle through apps trying to find something and canโ€™t make my mind up. Iโ€™ll find myself saying stuff like why or whatโ€™s the point. I have alarms set on my phone so as to have a schedule for multiple things including my meds. Iโ€™m on two forms of antidepressants alongside a cocktail of other meds.

Me too @SheffieldMan1976! Lots of spam calls at the moment. Very annoying.

The main grumble I have in life is me ๐Ÿคจ what I want to grumble about myself is something I couldnโ€™t say as it is impolite.

I can't clearly state my grumbles either because of the polite swear filter.

i keep getting ones on my landline claiming i have tried to purchase train tickets from glasgow to london, considering i don't live in scotland and have never been to scotland, that would be quite tricky

My grumble today is that I had a rough past few days with my mental health so have fallen behind on the house chores for Saturday and Sunday. So today I'm trying to do today's chores as well as those of Saturday and Sunday. If I can push through, it will help me feel better. But for now I'm overwhelmed and grouchy.

Did you manage to get your chores done @StarryEyed?

My grumble today is that I really need to do the hoovering and I really don't want to ๐Ÿ˜…

Yes I did @Rachel_Scope . Thank you for checking in. ๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜Šโค๏ธ

Re the vacuuming.... For chores I don't like doing, I time how long it takes, so in the future I just have that countdown in my mind while doing it. An end in sight, a finish line, is often helpful. Maybe you can try that out for size? ๐Ÿ˜Š

Glad you got them all done ๐Ÿ˜Š

That's actually a great idea @StarryEyed! I'm going to set an alarm to remind me to do it too so I don't keep putting it off. I also need to remember how much better I feel once it's done. Unfortunately with a toddler the carpet doesn't stay clean for long!

You're welcome, @Rachel_Scope. I do it for big goals too, like my autumn countdown. That's my grumble for today - it's still too hot. But we're getting there....

Well I have just had a wash and a shave, then all of a sudden I started smelling something odd!! A very fowl odour coming from the sink in the bathroom ๐Ÿคข

My morning routine (which is sacred) got disrupted yet again and I've been dysregulated ever since. Doesn't help that I slept badly and was triggered by something before I started. Had to do chores right afterwards because it was due. This is a terrible start to an important week. I'm so fed up

Eww I'd be grumbling too @StarryEyed! Anything over 20 and I'm miserable haha

My grumble for today: I cooked pasta yesterday intending to turn it into a pasta salad for the week. And found it still in the strainer in the sink this morning ๐Ÿ˜ซ
