Shall i ask for MR

in PIP, DLA, ADP & AA

My pip review is completed. I have been awarded standard daily like before and enhanced mobilty. I have also been credited the back payment since the review started. Now I have been given 11 points for daily living. Shall I ask for reconsideration? Is it easy to get one more point. I am attaching the image of assessor report and how she gave points. Can some one help because I think there is an error?

    Hi,

    I think I can see what they've done here. Basically saying that technically you 'could' prepare a meal because you do know what to do (instructing your son) and can cut up food yourself. But that you would always need assistance because you can't stand for long enough to prep a meal.

    I would not say it's easy to get another point. And it is always a risk that you could lose points in other areas. But I think you do have good chance of scoring another point on that descriptor. It is quite clear that overall you are unable to prepare any meal on the majority of days when we remove the technicalities that seem to have been used here.

    @535mum

    Don't think of it as pushing for 1 more point, think of it as looking to see if there are any more you are entitled to. Compare what you wrote in your PIP2 with what the assessment report says and what the decision says. If you think they've 'rounded you down' somewhere then it might be worth pursuing.
