Does LCWRA get backdated?

Hi Im due to get my LCWRA in my October 2026 payment with universal credit payment.

My first fit note was from May 4th and I had my assessment and was awarded on July 22nd 2026.Do I get a backdated payment from May 4th 2026 or will it just be the standard £217 ?

    And does the £217 a month gets your universal credit reduced? I also getting pip.Anyone out there that can help me please 🙂

    LCWRA has a waiting period of three full assessment periods before LCWRA is added to your payment. No money is paid or subsequently owed for that period.

    If you get any Transitional Protection on your UC claim, it will reduce by £217 the LCWRA amount.
