Good morning everyone. We had a storm last night with thunder and lightening and heavy rain. Dry so far today.

Enjoy your day whatever you do.

    Take care.

Good morning everyone. Dry start to the day and I can see a bit of sun now. I'm going volunteering to a local park just outside Huddersfield this morning. Looking forward to it. Getting a bit Paranoid cos I know where the park is just anxious to find the meeting point before 11am. My bus leaves town at 10:35am only a ten min jouney to the park. It's crazy I used to live near that park way back in 1991 but it's remembering the layout of it lol. Things change over the years lol. I'll find them all lol. I'm one of these that gets anxious if I'm going somewhere new and a bit of a worrier re the buses lol. Once I'm there I'll be ok and it doesn't matter how long it takes to get home lol. have a great day everyone and take care.

    Morning everyone and happy September!

That sounds like a nice day @Johnboy412000, hope everything goes okay for you. What kind of things do you do when you're volunteering there?

Sorry to hear that @SheffieldMan1976. Fingers crossed your dad's doctors get him feeling more like himself again. What were you hoping to see at the cinema?

Good afternoon everyone. Not had the best start to my day. Work up with my face all swollen on the right hand side and bad tooth ache. Managed to get an emergency appointment at the dentist I have an abscess on my upper right tooth. Have now got antibiotics and have to go back next week to have the tooth out. Thankfully it is at the back of my mouth. It has broken in half, unsure when that happened. Not looking forward to that at all.

    Hopefully my day will improve.

Ouch @Bluebell21! That sounds nasty. Toothache can be one of the worst pains! Hope the antibiotics help it feel a bit more comfortable while you wait for your appointment.

Hope that your on the mend soon, toothache and an access absolutely murders.
I can attest to that having had a temporary filling put on a broken tooth and ended up with antibiotics due to a small pocket of infection. But this then turned into a major infection which led to me being in hospital on iv antibiotics.

A very quiet few days to say the least, just sleeping in until 12. Resting up and not doing much but watching tv. Going to make some toast and a coffee in a bit and carry on watching tv. Taking each day a minute at a time, still struggling to be kind to myself as I honestly don’t feel I should be. I was having a thought last night about me being born 12 weeks premature and feeling the burden of surviving when others in my situation have passed. I have looked it up and it is possible for those who were born preterm can experience Survivors Guilt later in life alongside having Depression and Social Anxiety. It is a heavy burden to have to carry to say the least.

@Rosie_Scope This morning we spent the 2 hour session clearing up litter that untidy people had strew all over the park. We filled 3 bags of it and even swept broken bottles up. Why do people think it's ok to just drop litter in places like parks etc. They carried it there so why can't they carry it home. I think has something to do with laziness. It makes me wonder what their houses must be like. Anyway we were all proud of what we achieved at the end of the session. It looks a bit tidier for now.

That does sound heavy @Rag_793, surviving something difficult even if you were a baby is never an easy thing to carry through life. Take it easy πŸ’›

Sounds like a really worthwhile thing to do @Johnboy412000! I bet the park is looking so much better after your hard work. I don't understand how people think it's okay to drop litter everywhere either, it's really sad. But it's always nice to know there's good people out there who help tidy things up and keep it nice for the wildlife ☺️

Good morning everyone. Nice convincing 3-1 win for the town last night. Well chuffed with that and we sit on top of the table. It's cloudy day here and could be some rain later. It's cooled off a bit too. Chill out today for me. have a good day all and take care.

Hi everyone! It's actually a little bit chilly here today which means I get to wear my cosy jumper 😊 I hope you all have a great day.

Quiet day at the mill, slept in late again 😴 had a letter from the CMHT for a routine appointment towards the end of the month. As it’s September I know this is the start of the downward swing in mental health, with the big C coming up in December and the switch to more darkened days. I am not trying to think beyond tomorrow, for fear of running into another brick wall. I am going to listen to body and mind and just do things that I can manage on each specific day. I must admit though like an old grizzly bear I want to hibernate over the coming months.

I'm sorry it's is a difficult time of year for you. The dark days are definitely tough on mental health. Have you tried a Seasonal Affectiveness Disorder (SAD) lamp? They're supposed to increase your serotonin. I haven't used one myself but I have friends who use them.
