My marriage is over
Hello,
I'm away with my sister and a friend and my husband has left me a voicemail saying he wants a divorce, he has met someone else at work and that he thinks it's best I live with my sister when we get home.
I've not been happy in our marriage for some time, but I never thought he would be having an affair. We were meant to start counselling when I got back, our first session is booked and paid for. I don't know what to do. I'm too embarrased to tell anyone I know, I told my sister I wasn't feeling well so she's gone out with our friend and I'm in the hotel alone.
I have spina bifida and I can't work, how can I even life alone? I'll have no income. I feel like my whole world has fallen apart, which I guess it has.
What do I do?

Oh goodness this is so hard to process. Clearly it's all new & very raw. I would strongly advise you to talk with your sister about this. I'm sure she will be there for you. You really have nothing to feel embarrassed about at all. It's an awful thing to experience. Well done for finding a way of reaching out. That's a big deal. Sending hugs & strength for you. All the best xxx

Hi @Georgia86, welcome to the community. I'm really sorry this has happened to you, it must feel really overwhelming. Remember that you don't need to know how to fix everything right now, especially when it's all so new. You can take things one step at a time.
Do you think you'll feel up to telling your sister or your friend later? I know it might feel embarrassing now, but I'm sure your sister and friend would want to know if you're having a hard time so they can help support you. You don't have to face it all alone. We're here if you want to chat things through too 💜
How long are you away for?
