Hi all.

Hope everyone is well?

Some advised needed please.

Can you buy a property whilist in receipt of UC and full pip.

With a deposit secured on it as an early inheritance .

In the future.

Also can you rent 1 room out .

Who can help with this .

I called this organisation that supporsedly knows about this .

He had no clue on even what pip was.

    Hi,

    I think your buying question was answered in another thread.

    With regards to renting out a room. You can do this on UC. The rent you get does not count as income.

    On old ESA the rent did count as income so this is a positive change for UC.

    This is exciting news, do you know when you may be able to buy the house?

    I think you may have got the answers you were looking for in the other thread but here is some more information on claiming universal credit if you own a home that may be helpful😊

    I don't know the answer but you could apply for a mortgage with a lender( or more than one lender). They would advise what income they will accept. A large deposit could certasinly help. Good Luck.
