    Very valid probably even globally!!

    I can't imagine what children are being exposed to nowadays but it isn't even just them. Anyone I see even walking past my house has a phone glued to their hand!

    I've had many times where I've been caught in a doomscrolling loop and it really impacts you!

    And the things you get exposed to are just unreal.

    Ironically I found this song on TikTok but it's what prompted me to finally delete it (it's kind of repetitive but really hits hard at the end too)

    When I go out daily with Gus, I always think to myself, there's another one taking their phone for a walk. Beautiful coastline and open countryside, out there with their best friend, but they would rather stare at a small screen ( As I typed 'small screen', a young woman walked by my window doing just that).

    That's so sad, I could literally stare out into the ocean for hours. I can't imagine such a view becomming ordinary or boring. The world is amazing! Imagine spending time with someone and being glued to a screen individually instead of doing things together!!

    My large class 3 scooter, you can hear the motor working quite clearly. Several nights ago, a woman of perhaps 60yo, she was heading straight towards me, head bent over phone.

    I didn't bother calling out as I thought she would look up at my approach, but she just kept on straight.

    Of course i wasn't actually going to run in to her, I just stopped. When she eventually looked up, she was 6 feet away, and she gave a little shriek, to which I burst out laughing and she did too.

    I wonder if she makes a habit of crossing roads like that, lost to the world?
