That's a long list @Rag_793! Some great films on there.
Some of my favourites are: Jurassic Park (the original), Little Shop of Horrors, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I'm sure there's more, so I'll have a think!
I'm also partial to a Wes Anderson film - I like The Grand Budapest Hotel the most I think!

Jurassic Park and Little Shop of Horrors are another iconic pair of films.
I missed off films such as The Great Escape, Goonies, Splash, Homeward Bound, Awakenings, Insomnia, Rocky Horror, Medicine Man, George Of The Jungle, The Wooden Horse, The Railway Man, Monsters Inc etc

Casablanca
Big Country
Singin' In The Rain
The 39 Steps
Psycho
The Wizard Of Oz
Citizen Kane
There are too many to list!

Way too many for me to list too. Been a movie fan since forever. It's one of my favourite pastimes. Have you heard of 4DX cinema? I haven't seen it yet. Can't imagine the thrill!

4DX is brilliant!! I watched the 2nd Fantastic Beasts Movie there. But the most fun one has to be Top Gun - Maverick….. fare to say there were plenty of giggles, bodies bouncing all over the show as well 🤣🤣

@Rag_793 I absolutely love Little Shop of Horrors! Me and my friend are both big fans and we sang the entire soundtrack at karaoke 😂

These are some great films @Rag_793? Do you have a favourite actor or director whose films you will always see no matter what?
1 -
Omg that's a total hoot!!! I never even heard about it until last night! I read this thread, then flipped over to YouTube, and that clip showed up. Thank you AI! 😁 So we don't have it here in Málaga, but they have it in Granada. So I'm going to see about the possibility of going there to see it. This is so crazy amazing!!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😂

Actors such as the late Robin Williams, Samual L Jackson, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Tom Cruise etc

Robin Williams has been in some excellent films @Rag_793! Do you have a favourite film?
I will watch anything with Melissa McCarthy, Tina Fey or Amy Poehler in because I find them hilarious 🤣
Is Granada very far from Malaga @StarryEyed? It's such a different but fun way to experience films!
They're showing Shrek 2 in 4DX this weekend in a cinema near me and I'm thinking about going…bit frightened of the smell of the swamp though🤣!
I've seen Jurassic World in 4DX and that was a shocking (in a good way!) experience, I hadn't expected the chairs to move and bounce as much as it did.2 -
Hi Mary,
I can remember going to the Cinema after school in 1991 to watch Hook, a favourite still to this day. Patch Adams’s, Mrs Doubtfire, Flubber, Jumanji, Good Morning Vietnam, Dead Poets Society are amongst the favourites.
my personal favourite is Awakenings, a truly incredible film that is based on a true story.
The Doctor: Robin Williams' character, Dr. Malcolm Sayer, is based on the real-life British neurologist Dr. Oliver Sacks. Sacks worked at the Beth Abraham Hospital in the Bronx, New York.
The Patients: In 1969, Sacks treated a group of chronic patients who had survived the global encephalitis lethargica (sleeping sickness) epidemic. This real-world outbreak occurred worldwide between 1917 and 1928.
- The Treatment: Sacks administered L-DOPA (levodopa), a new medication for Parkinson's disease.
- The Outcome: The drug caused an astonishing temporary awakening. Patients who had been frozen or catatonic for decades regained movement and speech. However, the effects were often short-lived, and many patients suffered severe side effects or eventually regressed back into their catatonic states
- Dramatization:
- The film combines multiple real patients into composite characters, most notably Leonard Lowe (played by Robert De Niro).
- Pacing and Drama: Hollywood altered certain timelines and personal interactions to create a cohesive emotional narrative, but the core medical experiment and the tragic reality of the drug's limits are factual.

I went to an 80s music night last night and was reminded of one of my all-time favourite films - Electric Dreams! Their final song Together in Electric Dreams by Human League and it was amazing. Have you heard of it? I struggle to find people who have.
0 -
I like that film, not seen it for a while. I hate to correct you, but I seem to remember the song was composed and sung by Giorgio Moroder, with Human League's Phil Oakey.
0 -
Ah you are correct @ChrisR777. It's such an amazing soundtrack. You can watch it on YouTube which I might just do tonight!

The Human League are a favourite of mine. I especially like that Susan Ann Sulley (63), and Joanne Catherall (64), they have only had that job since they left school, indeed whilst still at school!
