Re-assessment of LCW

Hello everyone

Hope you are all ok.

Apologies that it's a lot to read.

I had my meeting with my coach yesterday. I informed her that I now have arthritis in my neck with c3-c6 spondolytic changes, disc narrowing and osteophytes. C7 - spondolytic and and osteophytes. C2-C6 degenerative changes to facet joints. Constant neck pain all day and night, interups my sleep at night. My coach suggested asking to be re-assessed due to this and other problems with my middle back t7-t12 thoracic khyphosis discs problems and L4/L5 herniated disc from 2021. I could return back to work, as I couldn't cope with the job even though i was sitting and standing during my shift and my job was terminated due to ill health. My back is in constant pain, pain killers don't really help, but limited to what I can take due to my asthma. There are other conditions that i have, but these are the main one. I terrified of reassessment as I had to go through tribunal to get lcw, it was an stressful and an awful experience. Does anyone have any advice or tips for reassessment? Is there anyone else in the same situation or had a similar experience?

I'd recommend getting the support of a local welfare rights organisation to fill in the WCA50, they are experts at what language to use, and highlighting things that you find normal but aren't actually normal and need to be written down.

It sounds like you're in a lot of pain @Trufflecake. I think the advice from @Kimi87 is great. An adviser knows how to fill these forms in to get the best outcome.

I'm sorry your last assessment was distressing for you. Has your condition worsened significantly since then?

    Hi Rachel

Yes, things don't seem to be improving. Just new things added to the list with more pain.

I'm so sorry to hear things aren't improving @Trufflecake. Have you managed to reach out to an adviser yet?

I've tagged kimi87 in your post for you, but to tag people yourself jsut type @ and then start typing their username. A little list will pop up and you can click on the right one. If it turns purple, you've done it!

    Hello Kimi87.

TThank You very much for the information with regards to getting help filling out my uc50 form. I have tried citizen advice, hear us, age uk and all have said they don't offer help filling out forms. Citizen advice only taken cases when it comes to tribunals. I am still searching
