LCWRA Assessments
Hi, I am desperate and need some advice on what my options are. I have received my assessment appointment 9 months after I applied. This was cancelled last minute without a reason. I have received the next one fairly quickly. I have been "checked in" and about 15 minutes past the appointment time, I received a call telling me that they need a "more senior assessor" for my condition and that they will reschedule the assessment for in about 2 weeks time. I haven't heard anything and received the now third appointment almost 2 months later. This appointment went ahead - although 1 hour later as scheduled. After 1.5 hours "their system crashed" and they were unable to continue the assessment with it being recorded. I could either agree for it to not be recorded or reschedule. I was reluctant but since it's caused me so much anxiety over the months, I have agreed to continue. Turns out, the entire system crashed (?!?!) and they were unable to continue at all. They told me the assessment will have to be rescheduled again and started from scratch!
Is there anything I can do about this situation? Why could they not use today's assessment at all and why would I have to go through it again? And all that after cancelling on me twice. I can't cope anymore :(

That sounds incredibly stressful @jadewp! These assessments are not nice experiences at the best of times and I definitely don't blame you for not wanting to do it all again after all those problems!
I'm not too sure if you'd be able to avoid another assessment. But it might be worth raising a complaint about how you've been treated and emphasising the impact it's had on your mental health. There's some details here about how to complain:
Complaints procedure - Department for Work and Pensions - GOV.UK
Have they given you another appointment already or will you have to wait again?

Thank you @Rosie_Scope I will have a look. I have called the provider and apparently no assessment, not even partial one, was submitted. So I'm afraid I will have to do it again whenever the time comes. And the thought of going through with a complaint on top of that is horrid. Thank you again 💛

Sorry, I didn't notice your question (typical!). I have to wait for another appointment and "give them a call if I didn't hear anything in couple of weeks".
