Hi @Popdiva43
This sounds very frightening. I'm sorry to hear you're in so much discomfort.
Have you spoke to your GP about your symptoms? Have they offered you HRT?0 -
Yes I'm getting the patches, but I've got to have more bloods for my thyroid and got to have another ecg because of my heart palpitations.Ive never felt so low in my life,it's like when I go to sleep all I think about is,how am I going to cope tomorrow.

@Popdiva43 I completely understand. I was aware of some of the menopausal symptoms, but when the peri-menopause kicked in, it was a shock to the system.
For medical reasons, I had a hysterectomy and went into medical menopause. It took weeks for my hormones to settle and I experienced regular hot flashes and heightened emotions.
I was prescribed HRT patches and these have been a gamechanger for navigating this part of my life. It's a different journey for everyone, but please be kind to yourself. Rest when you can and continue to speak to your GP or nurse.

It sounds like it is taking a lot out of you @Popdiva43, do you have support at the moment?
It sounds like they are investigating what is going on so hopefully that's a positive step, do you know when you are having the blood tests and ECG? How are you finding the patches?0 -
If you're unlucky menopause can be an absolute nightmare and if you're already ill with a chronic ailment it seems this can cook up a perfect storm.
So to say something I wish someone would tell me often: 'there is nothing wrong with you,' because somehow on top of my menopause symptoms it seems I needed to add for myself that yeah, I should be able to cope with all this. You are not alone in this, so good for you for reaching out here on the forum. No need to suffer on your own, but also don't forget that you are more than your symptoms, in case of despair.
I hope you understand the tone of voice of my message, I am saying this with kindness as life can be hard enough as it is even without this awful proverbial cherry on top.0
