It's 22 here and 27 inside, so it's a 'no' from me! I probably won't for at least another month or so, may 2.

Oh wow @Anhedonia2. If I remember right you're based down south aren't you? It seems like it's the north that are getting the chilly weather.

STV are a good deal cheaper than Arkay Sales, the ones who sell in bulk to STV. They constantly say there is a no quibble money back guarantee, all you would lose is the £4.95 p&p.

There are clips of Ray Kennedy selling the duvets etc on YouTube. I just looked, and Arkay Sales have a good Trustpilot score. No I don't get any commission!

How cold is it up there? I didn't think the UK used to get much variation. I don't often feel the cold anyway I don't think.

The met office says today has been 16 degrees here. Quite a difference to you @Anhedonia2!

I have the heating on right now. Not because I'm cold, but i have a soaking dog, scooter, and multiple layers of clothing that I was wearing.

There was a small chance of rain, allegedly, but it started as soon as I got going, and just got heavier and heavier.

Well we have central heating and it does the water too, so it is on all year round.

What we do though is turn it down to 15 for about sic months and now it is back at 22.5.

Temps chosen originally by trial and error.

What a difference a few days makes! It is cold here now. 20c in main room, 18c in bathroom.

I've had to put the bathroom heater on today to dry the towels. And even gave the main room a quick blast with the fan heater first thing, but will get a jumper out later!

I put my warm coat on this morning and regretted it, it's cooler but still too hot for me!

I haven't done it yet but I use my bathroom heater for the same reason once it starts getting cold

Yes I'm having mine on now, one hour in morning (timer) and 20/30 mins in evening (manual) primarily to warm up bedroom before bed.

My big winter dressing gown is now being worn, got winter clothes out (apart from heaviest stuff) and wearing warmer socks.

No & I won't be putting it on again this year. At the mo, it's 18 out, so it's keeping indoors at a nice 21 for now & only need a light summer quilt, even with the bedroom window open. I will become Nanook of the South eventually though, once the temp comes right down,

I'm lucky that I don't ever really need to turn my heating on

I have noticed the other night when I was going to bed that it was cold, then I woke up yesterday and it was freezing. I have knocked my heating on timer mode. I have it set to come on for an hour in the morning, afternoon and evening.

Most of the time I am in my pjs while wearing a wearable blanket to keep me warm

Similar to Bluebell I feel miserable when I am cold, so yesterday I put a top/cameo on for the first time this season. I also washed my hair at the sink today, so having a wet head is another reason for being chilly.

Being to the southeast of Amsterdam I need the heating for it is 16C today. That said, I do like to sit outside to feel the cold sometimes. I used to avoid getting cold ever since I got ill, but it only occurred to me a few years back that it can help me feel grounded or stable to move with the seasons. Nowadays I can really enjoy feeling my senses when being in the garden, even if it is only for a few minutes. Our nervous systems are really attuned to that, apparently.

It isn't good for a house to be unheated, I have no intention of sitting in a cold house, wrapped up like a sore finger. 🤧

I'm lucky to be staying in someone else's house with someone else's heating for a few days since the weather turned! But I'll definitely be switching things on when I'm back if this cold carries on.

I quite like a bit of cold too @SmellyBin, there's something bracing about it. I get what you mean about it being grounding. I've always enjoyed having a warm bath in the winter with the window open. The combination of soaking in a warm bath with a cold breeze wafting in is so relaxing to me!
