Broken down scooter in W2

My scooter broke down yesterday, I have tried everything AI suggested. It's an electrical problem but I can't crouch or bend down long enough to disconnect and reconnect the wires.

I'm stuck indoors now and I don't know what's to become of me

Welcome to the community @AjahnAndrew, sorry to hear you're having trouble with your scooter. It's always horrible to be stuck at home.

If you have any details for the manufacturers or the place you bought it from, sometimes they can help suggest reputable people who can fix these things. Have you got any friends or family near by that could help you take it somewhere to be looked at?

I got it off of Ebay.

I don't have anyone to help me who would know anything about circuits!

@AjahnAndrew Does your local council run a "repair cafe" or similar ?

You need to book it into your local mobility shop. Hopefully they are prepared to look at your particular make of scooter.

PS : When you do get it fixed, have a look at getting some insurance. My scooter insurance includes recovery, and mechanical/electrical repairs (Surewise, much cheaper than Mark Bates).

@JessieJ wasn't it you who told me about Surewise? It is much cheaper than Mark Bates.

My Freedom Chair DE08L (folding powerchair) is £86.10 for recovery and puncture repair (still under warranty for repairs).

My Class3 scooter is £199.26, but that's for the full package.

When one breaks down in a lonely place, it's worth it's weight in gold, knowing a tow truck can be summoned!
