Thanks for your reply Doglover 2, we were just a bit concerned because it runs out in a month. It makes you anxious of the unknown.

No harm in calling. I similarly didn't hear back for ages and called to ask when I would have a decision and they say it would be by the end date of my award. I do know of one person where their award was delayed by over a year though so it seems to vary

saradotusername, thankyou for replying to my question. It has been in my mind to ring them, that then stops me guessing.😉 hope you have a good day.

As others have said @humbug the wait time can vary. I've been waiting over a year for mine to be processed but I'm still getting paid so I'm not missing out. I've had multiple text messages to say they have my forms but no indication of how much longer it will go on for. Hopefully your experience won't be like mine and it will be sorted soon.

Thankyou Rachel for your imput, my son is still getting paid the same as you. Hopefully it wont take much longer, its so stressful waiting to hear. I hope you get sorted soon.

PIP will get extended till you have an outcome. No point contacting the, the customer contact staff will know as much as you.

Hope you hear back and have positive news about your review forms soon. It’s bizarre to me how it differs so much, I went through mine this year and I got a decision within three weeks which terrified me because I thought it must mean I’ve lost having decided so quickly and I felt enormous relief that they had reapproved it
As others have said the PIP will continue to be sent to you/your son without any disruption until a decision is made is my understanding as well. Wishing you both a positive outcome 🙏🏼

Thanks @yellowpineapple84. It really is surprising how much it can differ. I wish we knew what the reasons were but the DWP works in mysterious ways 😆

@yellowpineapple84 i dont understand how they are dealing with peoples claims. It causes so much anxiety, i know they have a backlog but this is rediculous. Its the unknown, and what the outcome will be..thankyou so much for your reply i do apprieciate it.

@humbug Hello :) I’m unsure, I have wondered before that it could be a regional thing? Whether some regions/areas are more busy and have less staff to cover all the forms and potential assessments but I really don’t know if that’s accurate - pure guessing in the dark. I think ultimately we all send our review forms to Wolverhampton so maybe each of our respective regions has nothing to do with it. And I’m not even sure if we do all post back to Wolverhampton, maybe it’s different across the country
The anxiety though is very much real. I’m sorry it is causing such worry and I can relate to it as I was really really afraid during my review. I hope being in this community though can help as it helped me and helped me to not feel so alone. Really wishing a positive outcome for you :)

@humbug thanks for writing that and you’re very welcome 😊 This community really helped me and I really want to reciprocate and help where I can :) There is a lot of warmth here and I feel we really need this. Society can be difficult sometimes and it can make some people feel alone or overlooked or under appreciated. It’s a relief to be able to login and simply share warmth and just try to help people, as well as myself, not feel alone
