How is your day going?

My Mental health support worker came this afternoon and she made a phone call to the UC to find out what was happening with my medical assessment form. They said they had got it in August and were working on it. They will let me know in a couple of weeks as to whether they need me to attend a medical or not. SW seems to think they will accept the GP's recommendations and not require me to attend Medical. Hopefully that will be the case and I'll qualify for Limited Capability for Work and Work-Related Activity. LCWRA which will be an extra payment on top of my UC which will probably get back dated as well. And on that note she has signed off my case now but will remain in the background if I need any help with anything. She will be retiring at the end of January bless her she's been invaluable to me. She's really helped me get back on my feet and I'm eternally grateful for that. Now it's up to me. I found out that roundabout November/December the DWP will send a form out for me to fill in to make a claim for State Pension and I'll also find out if I am eligable for Pension Credit. And on 10th February I can apply for a free Bus Pass to start on the 10th March which is my SP start date. All coming together Nicely. Shows what can be achieved with the determination and the right help from the right departments. Happy Days

It does sound more than just a heavy cold and I am so sorry you are so unwell.
You can buy the Covid tests kits on Amazon for ยฃ6.99 for 5 tests or could you phone and speak to your GP. With your other health issues he might be able to give you something to help.
Please take care of yourself.

Sorry you're feeling so ill @Amberpearl. I'd recommend calling your dr about it in case it is Covid. Are you managing to drink and eat?
Have you ventured out somewhere @Johnboy412000?
It's lovely and sunny here but with a chill in the air. Hope you're all having a lovely day ๐

Been awake since 2am, just watched some stuff on Netflix, before getting up. Sat down and sorted out a load of rubbish and started the thinning out of the book collection. Then decided to finish Saving Lives at Sea, but just cannot settle one bit, I have again retreated back to my bedroom. Sat on the bed with the Mac tuned into Netflix

Been to see the Surgery Phamasist. Aparently my Colestrol and BP were fine but he was a bit concerned cos my BS were up and whilst last year they showed Pre Diabtese they are now showing Diabetes. Aparently my Liver is leaking too much protien so he has prescribed Metformin. I have to take one tablet each day with my evening meal for a week and if I can tolerate them ok then to increase to 2 tablets per day one at Breakfast and 1 at teatime. In 3 weeks time they will call me back in with a Urine Sample and see how things are going. He didn't say what the BS count was but I have a monitor so I can check it myself anytime I want. Hopefully I'll be ok with the Metform and get the Protien count back down. Time will tell. Everything else is fine and there's no reason to adjust my other medication though the Ramipril is questionable. Maybe a need to lower the dosage.
