I GOT THE JOB!
Thank you so much to everyone that wished me luck at my interview last week, I got a call this morning and β¦ I WAS OFFERED THE JOB!
I can't tell you how relieved I am, I've been so stressed out and the knowledge I can hand in my notice and never have to see my current work place again makes me so happy! I genuinely loved the work but since my operation the management have been awful.
They've asked me for stuff for a DBS check and once that's back they'll give me a start date!

Woohoo!! Massive congratulations @Anhedonia2! I'm so incredibly happy for you π€© You can leave all the negativity behind and focus on a more positive future. Are you going to do anything to celebrate?

Thank you both!
I'm going to try and pry my teenager from her room to go out for a meal this evening! Nothing fancy but something different. If she doesn't come I think I'll go by myself, I've never had a meal out alone and maybe I should try it.

Congrats @Anhedonia2.
I eat meals out by myself all the time and I strongly recommend it if you can't convince her. It's good not to have to think about someone else for a change

Yeah go by yourself! What kind of food would you go for?

Massive congratulations!! So happy to read this π Saw your message on the other thread and more than happy to write congratulations in both places π Really great news, really positive! I really hope this place will be the perfect fit for you and sending enormous warmth for your start! :)
And food! Enjoy! After my volunteering yesterday I went into an actual pub by myself and it felt amazing haha. Havenβt done that for a while! I sat there looking round feeling slightly bizarre but uplifted because my volunteering had thankfully gone well and my health had allowed me to volunteer for a third consecutive week and just wanted a treat. Iβm glad to read youβll be treating yourself too!

That's good for you @Anhedonia2, i well remember how unpleasant a workplace can be, once they decide one is surplus to requirements.
