Argh I’ve been meaning to

My bedside drawer is completely chockablock. It’s got so full I can’t close it and I have to do that thing where I reach inside to fiddle about with the mess to open it. Sometimes I even get my hand stuck in it!!

I’ve been saying I’ll sort it for months now but it’s actually worse now than when I first noticed it.

What little thing have you been meaning to do for ages but somehow never get round to?

I've been meaning to put up the shelves I bought months ago. They're next to the wall but are still in the packaging 😂

Fix my lampshade😅 It became loose at the beginning of summer somehow so now it looks wobbly!

Aaargh indeed LOL. I've been meaning to put a small clip tacked with double-sided tape above the window in the front door. Normally when I don't want to risk someone ringing the doorbell, I put up a note using regular tape saying I am resting and not available. But when I don't use the note, it is on the table and soon covered in cat hair, no longer able to stick to the window which also gets dirty. So I thought I was being clever putting up that clip instead. Took me weeks, but I've added it yesterday. Yay. Cliffhanger: I've not written a new note yet…

In 50 years, these unopened shelves will be valuable to collectors. Consider that you have made an investment.

I often empty out a drawer into a pile, throw away or re-home some things from the pile, then try to put the new smaller pile back in the drawer… and it doesn't fit!!

A little bit of consolation, so you can justify to yourself that it's not so bad you haven't got round to it 😆

😂 @egiste2r maybe I should leave them then! Surely basic Amazon shelves can only appreciate in value 😂

Can you also let me know too @stacedancer!

I also need to buy a waterproof @yellowpineapple84. Well, I think I do. But then I think about how much I'm actually outside, which isn't often 😆

Oh dear, this thread reminds me of more and more unfinished business I've got lying around… Like a stack of papers waiting to be shredded since December and uploading knitted baby booties or patterns for knitted Xmas trees to my Etsy store… one day, peeps, one day…

@Rachel_Scope hiya :) I hope you can get your shelves up soon 😆 I’ve been gradually improving my waterproof situation. I have waterproof trousers and waterproof walking boots and I even have a waterproof backpack. Not that I go very far but I wanted to have waterproofs for the winter season as I can’t move fast and so if I was to get caught outside I wouldn’t be able to escape quickly. I have a waterproof coat but I bought it last winter when I was staying at family and left it there. So I could do with one here in the south and hopefully I can get one soon. I really enjoy autumnal colours and season and would like to try and enjoy being outside this autumn as much as my health allows :) 🍁

How long is a piece of string….

    Cook a Meal

    Deep V

    Clean the Flat

Organise all Clothes — because I don’t wear them much, they go musty

    Organise and Sort all Paperwork

    Do Physical Exercise

    Better Personal Care

    Eat Healthy

Put in Place a Savings Plan

I am failing at so much…..

I don't think it'll be anytime soon @yellowpineapple84 😂 Sounds like you're on your way to a complete waterproof set! It's lovely that you want to enjoy autumn more, so being waterproof is a must. I love the changing colours too, it's beautiful.

You're not failing @Rag_793. I could add lots of things to my list but I know I can't get them all done so I'll just do the little bits that I can. Which thing would you prioritise?

I've been meaning to clear out our freezer properly. Peas. Peas everywhere.

I decided to be super productive and empty my drawer out entirely over the carpet to organise it

……it’s still exactly where I emptied it 3 hours later lol 😬

I wish I’d read this before I emptied it all out and gave up trying to sort it!!

They absolutely do @justj74! I swear there are loose peas in the freezer drawers where we've never kept peas. Sneaky little blighters!

Good luck with your drawer pile! For me, tidying a drawer almost always ends with the drawer looking worse or having things stuffed in other places. I hope you have more luck with your tidying than I do 😂
