The Singing Detective on BBC4 tonight
Screened in 1986 over six weekly episodes, the first two begin tonight at 10.15pm.
I watched it with my dad, a little uncomfortable at the time so I'm looking forward to this viewing as a grown-up adult!

I watched it back in the day and I found it pretty **** to be honest, but I did admire the camerawork.

I was surprised that it was first shown in 1986 I did not think it was quite that long ago.
It won a Peabody Award in 1989.

No wonder it was awkward watching this with my dad but but we laughed a lot too and it was a great watch tonight. When did you see it @ChrisR777?

I would have seen it at home with my mum and dad, probably the last thing on the BBC before we went to bed. I'd be interested to know what time it was broadcast, as it was a Sunday evening apparently.
It has of course been repeated, i've seen it several times.
