Pip review - do I have enough evidence?
I have had the forms come through for my pip review and I am so overwhelmed by it all and having to go through the whole process again. I previously got awarded standard daily living for anxiety, ocd and long covid.this was only after it went to tribunal. However, since then I have been diagnosed with adhd. I have evidence that I am in therapy but due to gdpr my counsellor could only write what I am in therapy for (ocd and childhood sexual abuse). I have a good report from my psychiatrist but, once again, the report doesn’t really detail much about my daily struggles with regard to the activities on the pip review form. The report does say my ocd affects my everyday life and is disabling. Will this be enough evidence? I’ve also included adhd diagnosis. Due to my anxiety, I really can not handle a face to face assessment or phone call. How do I avoid this if at all possible?

Hi @flotation1979, PIP can be so stressful! Sorry to hear you're feeling overwhelmed.
Have you ever had any professional help with your claim? If you think you'd be able to access some support, sometimes it can be helpful to have a benefits professional look at your case and let you know how to make the most of your review. But I'd understand if that's something you wouldn't feel up to. There's a search tool here in case you do want to look into it: Turn2Us - AdviceFinder
It can be difficult to avoid a phone call assessment, but I'd say try to focus on providing really detailed answers on your forms if you can. The advice is often to treat it as if it were a new claim even though it's a review.
If you don't feel your medical evidence is detailed enough, you could use things like symptom diaries or real-world examples of when your conditions have affected your ability to do things listed in the descriptors. Try to explain what happens when you do the activity, what the consequences are, how long it takes you to recover, things like that. And remember that you need to be able to do the activities reliably, repeatedly, safely and in a timely fashion - there's a bit about that if you scroll down on this page: Personal Independence Payment (PIP) points system
I'm sure our members will have some tips to share as well ☺️
If you were given a phone assessment, would there be anyone around who could be there to support you? It's not nice at all, but sometimes it can help if someone's there with you to help prompt or comfort you a little.
