Thank you for sharing this @ChrisR777, I wonder what sort of support they are thinking about putting in place. What do you think would be best?

I'd like to see autism NOT lumped in with ADHD, anxiety, depression or other 'minor' MH conditions!

Autism is not minor and it cannot be cured.

We have heard it all before, from multiple governments, so it doesn't bode well that it will be different this time.

It has been said before, that any 'support' ends up costing more than just issuing money to the claimant, and the only beneficiaries are the likes of G4S.

As for my own opinion, which carries no weight, I would like to see real efforts made to help the ballooning ADHD numbers currently applying, or having recently been granted PIP. The young ones most of all.

YOP, YTS, YT, Educational Maintenance Allowance?

I did a bit of YTS myself, and on all three occasions, I was used as a skivvy for a few months them let go. This time has to be completely different, or it will just be yet another sticking plaster.

They want to throw wads of cash to employers to take on apprentices paid a pittance while employers blame the National Minimum Wage for pricing out labour 🤪

Young people do need more help. And at least they are acknowledging that it needs to be paid for and won't be cheap.

But I am still skeptical 🤨

Stupid deputies and officials always want to spend less money on the people and make them work more. I'll give it Free advice to them - forget about today's NEET, spend as much money as you need on health care, and not a pitiful penny as now, and in 10 years there will be good results, obvious to everyone.
