Medical negligence - waiting over 7 months
I need some advice I have a metal plate that’s has come through the inside of my mouth but this happens 7 and a half months ago and still no sign of when it’s getting removed I have not had any contact with my specialist apart from me contacting his secretary and to be told she will get him to give me a call and had no phone call off him or anything I haven’t been able to eat solid food for over 7 months and can’t sleep on the sore side of my face I can’t cough yawn or sneeze with out causing pain

I'd recommend contacting PALS, they should be able to assist you.

#pablo112,
Hi Pablo112, I'm sorry to read your difficulties with getting through to your Consultant and agree that PALS is a way forward. However, might I suggest also making a complaint via the Chief Executive Officer of the Trust that you are a patient with?
Sadly, this appears to become a consistent problem, I know several people who have had poor experiences trying to connect with Consultants and Health Care Professionals repeatedly (also different Consultants for different disciplines) with urgent concerns but to no avail and have resorted to extreme levels in order to get something done.
You have waited a long time and now it would seem very reasonable to complain in order to be seen and treated. I hope you get some success soon.

I'm sorry you're going through this @pablo112. You shouldn't have to suffer for such a long time. I agree with both Kimi and figraspberry that you should contact PALS and submit a complaint. Are you able to speak to your GP to see if they can get you seen quicker?
