Invite your MP to meet with Scope
Hi everyone 😊 It's Tori from the campaigns team here. I just wanted to share an action we set up recently. It allows you to easily invite your MP to meet with Scope during party conference season.
Invite your MP to meet with Scope
- Enter your details. We’ll automatically identify who your MP is, and add the details you’ve entered to the bottom of your email to them
- Personalise your email. We’ve written an email to your MP, asking them to meet with us. Add your own views and experiences to make your voice heard
- Send your email directly to your MP’s inbox
We'll be speaking to MPs about:
- The extra costs disabled people face, and how the disability benefits system could be improved
- The barriers disabled people who want to work face entering and staying in work, and how they can help tackle these barriers
- How they can better represent their disabled constituents
Political party conferences are an opportunity for MPs to learn more about important issues. Make sure disability is one of them. Invite your MP to meet with us today so they do not miss out.
Thank you!

can we invite them without having to give our details to anyone

Hi @Hicks :) We ask for this information so we can identify who your MP is, but also because MPs' offices will usually only reply to people they know are constituents and therefore often request you put your personal details at the end of your email. You can read more about how Scope processes your data through our privacy policy.
If you'd prefer, you could email your MP directly (you can find their email address through the Parliament website) without going through Scope.
I hope that makes sense!

Pleased I popped on & saw this; I have emailed my MP.
Hi @Tori_Scope - I hope you are keeping well. Please could you try to ensure this gets the attention it needs by 'making it a sticky' or whatever it's called so it gets the prominence needed to be as visible as possible for our members (towards the top of 'Recent discussions' perhaps). I think this category 'may' be more viewed than 'People power.'

Thanks @chiarieds! I lost most of my admin privileges when I stopped working on the online community team, so I'll call on the existing team to see if this is something they'd like to do 😀 @Community_Scope

Hi @Tori_Scope! It has been pinned on both People Power and Recent Discussions so more people will see it 😊

I would hope my MP would be meeting without needing a specific invitation considering he is Stephen Timms

Thank you to those of you who invited your MP to meet with us at party conferences! Together, Scope supporters invited 555 MPs to meet with Scope :) We talked to them about disabled people's experiences of extra costs and employment, showed them our Local Disability Data Map, and spoke with them about how they can better represent their disabled constituents.
