Ecological Vandalism In The Name of Profit
We're not going to stop, are we? It didn't have to be this way. 😞

Oh that's so sad @ChrisR777! All that wildlife put to waste. And so unsafe when there's big animals like wolves to consider. They've got to eat and roam too and it's no wonder they've been going into the villages after what's been done to their territory. Very sad for the wildlife, the local population and just humanity in general.

Plenty people care about our environment, I cling to that more desperately each passing year! I just wish I still believed there was any hope of our leaders doing what needs doing, and not bowing to the lobbyists of the powerful. 🦄
I still believe planet Earth will correct itself, just maybe we won't be around to witness it. 🪳

I had better get away from this tablet for a while, it isn't healthy to read too much. I will say however, that if Flávio Bolsonaro gets elected in Brazil, that deforestation in Finland, it will be a garden tidying exercise by comparison.☹️

It's a great article, but they fail to mention this crisis is happening worldwide. The Guardian reported in this in September with this excellent newsletter article...

I fail to see the humour here, I'm sure the sight of the fleeing wildlife was anything but funny.

That is, you continue to use this site and the Internet, knowing that wild animals end up suffering because of this?

You made a similar point to @Anhedonia2 in relation to the Greenlandic shark cull. What should we do, revert back to Neolithic living?
There is a way of doing things in a less devastating fashion, but our tech overlords don't seem to care about such things. Just look at the way Mr Musk is toying with lives in Ukraine at the moment.

Wars are much more harmful to the environment than ordinary human economic activity. I would like to emphasize that the UK actually donated OneWeb satellites to Russia in 2022. The United States, China and Russia have satellites in orbit that can be used as weapons against other satellites, and Musk is well aware of this.
