It's just dull and showery here, but I think I have learned my lesson not to complain about rain after the summer we just had!

What's it like where you are today? Has anyone been affected by Storm Austen so far?

It's not quite hit us yet in London. I think we're getting off quite lightly anyway compared with the South West, but we're apparently in for a bit of a blustery afternoon!

    We've got rain here too. We do need it though, the grass hasn't recovered from the summer yet!

    Similar story here @OverlyAnxious! There's still so many patches of yellowed out grass around, but we're getting there very slowly. Hopefully it'll get nice and green again before the frosts set in, or it'll be a muddy winter!

    I can hardly believe some of you still have burnt grass. I hardly got any at all this year.

    9C, feels like 7C, Amber Weather Warning, heavy rain on for the day, strong winds and heavy rain from this time tomorrow, right through into next week. Sorry I looked now! 🙄

    Wet and windy here today and cold.

    My grass is green again, we get lots of rain in Manchester.

    Southern city landscapes @ChrisR777! Some of the parks around me were totally reduced to mud, but the green is just about peeking through again now. Will you be affected by the other named storm Boelo? Hopefully it'll pass over without too much damage.

    Glad your grass has recovered @Bluebell21. As I said earlier, it almost feels a bit wrong to complain about the rain still but I'm sure we'll get there 😉 good for the gardens anyway!

    The trees are getting a real battering this afternoon. Apparently we're getting gusts of 19mph, which I'm sure is nothing compared to elsewhere!

    I don't care about staying in all day, but it's hard for Gus. I'll try to get him out at some point this weekend, but torrential rain and electric scooters are a poor combination.

    We've had a lot of rain today but that's about it, not much in the way of wind or anything else. I live in quite a built up area which probably has an impact on that

    Yeah same here, my garden is just about recovered but some of the grass hasn't come back at all. Driving into town earlier so much grass around is still brown and parched. It really did get quite bad

    We've got a wind warning for Storm Boelo. Is anyone else affected by it? I'm worried the giant spider on the front of the house will be blown away!
