Have you turned the heating on?

My flat is still cooling down from the summer heatwaves!
I consider myself very lucky to be mobile and able to keep myself warm in cold conditions whereas I could not stand up or move during the first heatwave - in just one summer, I became inactive and quite unfit (which I've managed to reverse).
It's vital to keep moving and stay warm, IF you can. It's much harder to warm up if you've been still for too long. Free heated throws and free electric blankets cost pennies to use. Ditto hot water bottles.
My Warm Home Discount of £150 has just been paid and that will cover my heating during the coldest months which I'm really grateful for.

I'm glad you get the Warm Home Discount, I have had that in recent years, but can't remember how I claimed it.

Mine's paid automatically to my energy supplier via my UC claim.

Maybe i'm the same, i'll have to check with Ecotricity. I think someone wanted me to post them my benefit letters and I didn't like the sound of it.

Unfortunately, not everyone is so lucky in terms of the ability to move independently. Comfortable environmental conditions are very important and require energy, i.e. money, to create and maintain them.
