                    I Have recently had an operation to remove Tumor and my voice box I have to go to the hospital 5 times a week for 6 weeks for radiotherapy which is 55 miles away can I claim fuel expenses

Walker, as you'll see you should be able to get some help if you are on an income-based benefit such as income-based ESA. If not, it's possible you can also get help by completing a low income form.
If car is the cheapest means of transport, then you should be paid a mileage allowance.
