Hi folks, I'm literally new to this site. Basically I was awarded PIP over 3yrs ago. I was awarded enhanced DL and basic mobility. I have multiple health issues and unfortunately I was diagnosed with cancer. I informed Capita 2 and half hr home visit, the assessor incorrectly filled out my assessment and I was penalised and my benefits reduced. I seeker CAB for advise and support and I went to an appeal tribunal. Very scary and intimidating, with four professional bods plus a court clerk. The words of the judge rang in my ears "oh we didn't except to see someone so bad has you today"!!! I won the tribunal, but I'm now being faced with yet another Capita home visit this coming Monday. "If I could work I would, I'm a qualified NHS staff nurse/sister" Worked from the age of 16 and now I've got multiple health issues, cancer that's treatable BUT not curable, and I'm on a life of benefits that's eternally under scrutiny!!!!

Hi @karenblaw
Good Evening it’s great to meet you today.
I’m very very sorry to hear that you have been caught up in the “PIP Mess”
Yes I also worked in the NHS for over 10yrs in Med Recs.
Please please let me know if I can help you in anyway???
Thanks. -
I worked for the NHS too. And for Social Services. Do you have a Social Worker? They get paid to help people like you. Neville in Plymouth Devon
