Hi, hello everyone, I was awarded the higher value of both components of PIP just over a year ago. The award duration is ONGOING. I came from having an indefinite DLA award.
My circumstances are complex, and will not go into them here.
My current worry is an Award Reassessment form has already been sent to me, in fact 11 months after the initial award was given. As you will understand, this is very worrying and distressing. Is this the norm or is this exceptional? This course of action must be of great expense to the tax payer. I am currently awaiting the decision from the DWP. Is there a time table that is adhered to?
Kind regards Rosie.

Hi Rosie and welcome
It is unusual for an ongoing award to be reassessed so soon, Normally an ongoing award is expected to be 10 years although the DWP do have the right to reassess at any time.
Was the form the short AR1 or the full PIP2 ?

Hi CR,
thank you for your reply.. The form was the short AR1. -
I have heard of on going awards being reviewed at three years but this is new to me, unless a change of circumstance has been recorded
There doesn't seem to be any rush for them to do your review as you don't have an end date. Sorry I am a a bit of a loss, maybe one of the advisors can shed some light next week
Please let us know any developements
