Work for my autistic grandson

I'm am a mother to a deaf daughter and a grandmother to a autistic grandson they both live with me and my husband my grandson is 18 this year and only go's out rarely and always with someone,but he arts "normal " around us ,we can't see him finding work in the near future,we need help .

Hi @susanj, and welcome to the community! I'd recommend that you or your grandson have a look at our parents and carers category, and also Scope's employment services. We also have employment advisors who can advise on any questions you may have!

I am absolutely confident your grandson can find employment in the near future.
I believe Scope's new Support to Work service is a great starting place for him as it is a 12 week digital employment service, which offers a gentle approach.
It will enable him to build confidence, identify skills he can bring to the workplace and develop his job search skills.
One of our employment advisers can tailor support to assist in the following areas; CV and cover letter writing, interview tips/practice and job application guidance.
