Hi,
After being medically retired a few years ago , due to Fibromyalgia , Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, ME and a degenerative disc disorder. I was awarded PIP after a long drawn out procedure with ‘THEM’ saying my case needed to be discussed as to decide wether I needed a face to face assessment.  This went on for over 9 months . Until I contacted my local MP to explain my situation. Funny ( and as if by magic ) , I was contacted 2 days later with a date ( for that week ) for my assessment.
Although I had/have difficulties preparing meals and need my wife to wash me on a bath board ( we are hoping to get a grant for a shower room ) , I was awarded standard daily living and enhanced mobility. When my wife questioned this descission she was told that if we appealed we might get the enhanced daily living , but lose the enhanced mobility , so we left well alone.

Just received the form for my PIP review. Fingers crossed that I get at least my current award as things have not improved over the past couple of years.
