HP's duty before starting assessment.

Does the H.P. have a duty to read through the papers submitted with claim form before start of assessment?

    DaveDee Yes they should read and use all the evidence but not sure if that is before or after when they do their assessment report. It doesn't make sense to read it all after they've seen you as then they're starting the assessment knowing almost nothing about you. I handed over evidence at my assessment last January that definitely wasn't even glanced at as my assessment wrote and repeated a comment that would have been proved wrong had she even glanced at it.

    Was told by the assessor that she had not read the documents sent, when asking about dates of an operation, I said it is on the consultants letter provided as evidence. Also when decision received it only referenced one letter from hospital throughout the whole descriptors given zero points.

    @DaveDee Hi my mums assessor used 2 out of 4 those was from the specialist .
