How will my benefits be effected if I choose to study at college?

I am 25 years old and claim esa I am in the support group and get the higher rate. I also claim pip. How would my benefits be effected if I was to study a part time or full time course at college. I am really struggling to get any help with this so any information will be much appreciated !!

Hi Lauren7

If you get ESA and PIP you can study either part time or full time and remain eligible for your benefits. So it should be fine. You should bear in mind that certain types of student finance (loans and grants) can affect your benefit. And so if you plan to apply for a course that requires an application for a grant/loan then you should get further advice.
