Hi. I suffer mental health and have done for a long long time.
In the planning journeys which descriptor would i fit?
On my report it says "only goes out with son when she needs to"
"Takes her 3-4 days to build up to go to local shop which is 150yrds away"
Earlier in the report it states "when she goes out she has anxietys and paranoia that people are out to kill her"
I got awarded E 10pts. But i thought E "cannot undertake any journey because it would cause overwhelming psychological distress to the claimant." was for people who DONT go out at all. Im confused????

Hi @xxgaynorxx,
Sorry to hear you're feeling confused. Have you had your PIP decision come through yet? It can often be difficult to speculate on these things, and the waiting time can be really difficult. You might like to have a look at this more in-depth guidance from Citizen's Advice on the going out descriptors in the meantime. -

Hi @xxgaynorxx
Have you rang DWP and asked them why you didn't get F12 pts as you very much seem to meet the conditions for this descriptor?
