DLA to PIP worries

Thank you for allowing me to join this group. I have been on dla since 2003, but had my letter through about changing to PIP. I had to go for my face to face consultation last week. I'm scared I won't qualify for it. It would come as a huge blow to not get this money. I use it to mostly keep my heating on in this cold weather all the time. Plus I need the car to get to appointments be it hospital or Dr.
Does anyone know anything about PIP and as to how it works now? Thank you in advance.

@triciaAnne
Have you asked DWP for a copy of the assessment report? This will give you a good idea of what the decision will be.
