Hello, and happy valentines!,
Just won PIP, appeal 6 months in the waiting , my wife lost her carers allowance,
Can anyone tell me if this will be backdated?

Congratulations on winning your PIP appeal, that's great news!
This information is from the NHS Carer's Allowance page:Carer's Allowance can usually only be backdated for a maximum of three months if you claim it within three months of a decision to award a qualifying benefit to the person you care for.If there are any issues, you or your wife could also try getting in touch with the Carer's Allowance Unit. Hope this helps!
You must specifically request that your Carer's Allowance claim is backdated, and you must have satisfied all the rules for claiming Carer's Allowance during the backdating period. You can also challenge a decision not to backdate Carer's Allowance if your request is refused. -

I have waited 2 years to win my appeal as I took it to upper. Won’t I b able to claim carers back from that period now? It’s not my fault pip messed me about
