New on here, recently moved to south Wales, son of 37, autistic and Sturge Webber syndrome. Lives sort of independently. He is suffering from bad loneliness. He can't drive. Any pointers to finding ways he can make new friends would be helpful

Hi @bristolborn and welcome to the community. Glad to have you with us.
I've had a quick look through the site and am seeing, frankly, less than I had hoped for. It's about 2:40 am, however, so I may not be functioning at my best. Just as a starting point - not to send you away - can you tell me if you've looked at the National Autistic Society's community? The link, if not, is here: http://community.autism.org.uk/
Whilst waiting, hopefully, for an answer from you I will make some enquiries of my own and see what I can find for you here.
Warmest best wishes to you,
Richard -
Thankyou so much for your reply. Have been in touch with the N.A.S. and to be honest they weren't helpful.

Hi @bristolborn, and welcome! Great to have you here.
Sorry to hear that your son is suffering from loneliness- I've moved this post into our ASD discussions where other community members are more likely to see it. Our community champion @MJDean recently wrote a great piece on ASD and isolation which you may like to read, too. Do let us know if we can be of any assistance! -
Hi, @bristolborn and thank you for responding. I'm sorry NAS didn't turn out to be much help to you, but it's useful to know. I can only second @PippaScope 's recommendations to you.
Still here and still listening, if that's any use to you,
Warmest best wishes,
Richard -
