hi I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on mandatory reconsiderations
I am trying to write one for my husband he is 1 point short for standard rate my question is can the reduce points already given ? I don’t want to mention them in the reconsideration if there is risk of taking them away we have worked so hard to get here so standard rate is a big success for him he does fall in the category of higher rate but don’t want to push for it if they can take it away any advice greatly appreciated thank you

    Hi @confusedpip
    Welcome to this Online Community!
The community has  several resources for 'PIP MR' - you are  correct to not risk points already given.

While it is possible that points could be taken away at MR, I understand that this is the exception rather than the rule.  But if your husband hasn't even currently got a standard award then there isn't really anything to lose by asking for an MR.

There is a Mandatory Reconsideration letter tool which will generate a letter for you.
