    Hi all, so I am sarah, I'm 40 have 2 kids and one on the way, I'm married and i work in a school as a special needs teaching assistant. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and cfs 5 years ago and for a while it floored me but I was thankful to have remission periods.
    im flaring though at the minute due to this cold weather so I'm off work again. The sheer uncertainty of this illness means some weeks in bouncing around and some I'm stuck in bed, I was declined pip when I was really ill but tempted to reapply as it does impact on my life but not sure xx

    Hi Sarah, @sarahdh, and it is good to hear from you. We have experts here on PIP who will, I am sure, be along to advise you. Bear with us :smile:
    You are a special needs teaching assistant? I retired a couple of years ago from being a learning support assistant (the school wouldn't pay for TA's :smile:) with children on the autistic spectrum. Mine was a high school. Before that I was a 'specialist' TA supporting Art in the curriculum at a primary school. Great days! But hard, hard work at times.
