Hi @Shirlann
There's actually been a bit of talk about this and asking for changes recently in the news: https://inews.co.uk/opinion/comment/i-ideal-tenant-landlords-wont-rent-im-benefits/ and http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-42979242

Yes I've seen those stories, but we need help now not in the future or never!! My son already thinks i'm abandoning him. And due to his mental health issues that won't change.
-
That sounds really tough @Shirlann
Are you both getting any support?Scope

Nope no support. My sons doctor is good and has tried but we never get past a certain point and no one's interested
-
Im sorry to hear that @Shirlann
You might want to get in touch with MIND, the mental health charity who may be able to offer you support and information.
There are two contact numbers, one for general and one for legal matters so take a look at this link for the best number for you.Scope
