Am I just getting muddled?

Budgeting is not my strong point. I don't read things properly and I tend to do an auto flap like chicken first.
So I thought I would include what the pip letter actually says.  :)

My last payment from DLA was 5 February.
Decision made for pip award 23 February.

They can award me from 28 March.
First payment is 19 April, what they owe since 28 March.
We will then pay you four weeks in arrears on a Thursday.

Why is the award not starting from the decision, making the first payment March.
The amount payable is wrong, it should be £174 and its £184.79. This suggests something has gone a little wrong with their working out.

It's sort of reading that I won't have any money for ten weeks. That's me not working it out properly right?

Do not follow me, I don't know where I am going.

    Hi whistles

What is your PIP award ie standard care standard mob ?

unless your DLA award ended it should continue for four weeks after your decision
    I will try and explain

    ah ok
Enhanced mobility = £58 per week

The payment of £ 184.79 is for 16 days 28th march - 19th april this will then put you onto a new four weekly pay cycle
    then every four weeks £58 x 4 = £232

You should still receive DLA from 5th feb to 27th march
Check that you have/not had a payment and if not you should ring DWP

Thank you so much for taking the time to work this out for me. Much appreciated. It looked an odd amount.

    No problem
it does look an odd amount, I never understand the odd pennies they seem to work in or out.
Do check your DLA payments are being made, PIP should start the day after DLA stops, you should not be left without money
