How to get txt messages from DWP??

can anyone tell me how I get txt messages from DWP re ESA and PIP, I see some people receive txts.
This would be better for me but don’t know how to go about it

@susan48,Not sure as all my benefits are sorted now but I did get a txt with reference to mailing them some information. I would give them a call and ask how you register for txt alerts and notifications I am sure it may only be a simple issue of giving your Mobil number. -
They asked when I applied which number I wanted as my point of contact. It was set up that way, only with pip though.
Bear in mind that straight away tells them you have one. I don't know if that led to the questions I got at the assessors thing that asked what I used it for.
Hindsight I didn't say what I should have but I'm not going to lie.Do not follow me, I don't know where I am going.
